四 | 消防人员在现场看到，涉事货机成两截，浮在海面，四名机组人员在打开的机舱门口等待救援。消防人员立即派人进行营救，协助机上四名机组人员通过逃生滑梯离开机舱。据介绍，四名机组人员已获救送院。
五 | 另外，有一辆巡逻车受到事故波及而坠海，消防人员也展开了水上和水下的救援工作，包括在北跑道两侧各500米的范围内进行搜索。最终，消防潜水员在40分钟后确定了坠海巡逻车的位置，并在车内找到了2名被困人员。 图片来源：每经记者 李旭馗 摄 其中一位是41岁的男性巡逻车司机，他从水下被救出时，已无呼吸、无脉搏，且头部受伤，后送医急救不治身亡。同车另一名30岁的男性机场巡逻车人员，被现场紧急医疗队医生宣布死亡。 随后，消防人员进入涉事货机的机舱，确认机舱内没有其他被困人员。消防“蛙人”还利用水下机器人在附近水域搜索，确保周围没有其他失踪人员。 在此次事故中，香港消防处一共出动了213名消防人员和救护人员，调派了45辆消防车、2艘指挥船、5艘快艇以及24部救护车辆。 “巡逻车绝对没有进入跑道，是飞机冲出跑道后撞到了围网外的巡逻车。”发布会现场相关负责人表示，巡逻车当时正在执行巡逻任务，负责巡查海岸线，距离跑道有一段安全距离。 该巡逻车主要负责巡查机场整个北海岸线，其长度超过4公里，目的是确保整个机场的安全，一旦发生事故能及时处理。从1998年开始，香港国际机场就有巡逻车在这条海岸线巡逻，也设有固定岗哨，巡逻车会不时巡逻。不巡逻时，会停在一个固定位置，事发时巡逻车就停在该固定位置上。 机场未收到任何协助或求救信号，事故调查机构正在搜索“黑匣子” 记者还从发布会上了解到，涉事货机当时已经安全落地且滑行了差不多一半的距离。目前，事故原因还在调查中，正在搜索飞机两个“黑匣子”（驾驶舱语音记录器和飞行数据记录器）。
六 | 事发前，涉事航班与香港民航处指挥塔有无线电联络。指挥塔为其指定了正确的降落路线，即降落在北跑道。指挥塔期间没有收到飞行员任何协助或求救信号。在降落到北跑道后，飞机突然转向并滑到海面。指挥塔尝试用无线电呼叫飞行员，但飞行员没有回应。 针对涉事飞机何时能移走这一问题，相关负责人现场表示，其已经联系了相关航空公司以及飞机的所有者，他们都表示会来香港处理相关问题。此外，移走涉事飞机还需要等意外调查机构完成调查、收集好证据。 香港民航意外调查机构调查小组发言人表示，小组现正收集数据和资讯，并确定需要进一步调查的范围和跟进的调查方向，目的是确定意外发生的经过和成因，以避免同类事件再次发生。 香港民航意外调查机构是香港运输及物流局下成立的一个独立调查机构，负责根据《香港民航（意外调查）规例》（第448B章）及参考国际民用航空组织的标准，进行民航意外及事故的调查。
